Upland Real Estate and More....
Upland’s history was once a field full of citrus trees which is why it is known for its good weather. It has a dense suburban feel with big mature trees that canopy many of the streets and neighborhoods, with a population just below 77,500 people. Upland is west of Rancho Cucamonga and north of Ontario which is home to the Ontario International airport. Upland is also right next to Mt. Baldy, which is the perfect place to visit with your family for a quick winter getaway for some skiing and or snowboarding and it's only 20 minutes away. Upland is a relatively small town with everything you need access to close by. In Downtown Upland there's a plethora of small restaurants, breweries, and small shops such as some of my favorites like Rescue Brewery, Pro-five Brewing Company, Sweet Obsessions Cheesecakes, Molly’s Souper (famous for amazing breakfast and atmosphere) and Roy’s Cyclery just to name a few. Upland is also home to the shopping center called “The Colonies” which has bigger brand name stores such as Kohls, Target, Dicks and more! The median household income is about $60,000. The cost of living is much lower in Upland as compared to Los Angeles yet you are only about a 40 mile drive into downtown LA. If you are a commuter working in LA or Inland empire, Downtown Upland also has the Upland Train Station which is very convenient for those that want to avoid traffic.
What I personally love about Upland is that most of the homes are all unique and look different from each other. Most of the homes surrounding the Downtown Upland portion of the city were built in the early 1900s. As you move away from Downtown most of Upland’s growth came in the 1950’s through the 1980’s. Upland is definitely an established city but still has some newer modern home sections that still fit in with its vintage feel. Upland also has highly rated schools (See list below) and a good variety of small family owned shops that will fit your needs. Upland has around 20 different parks with different uses such as hiking, sports, dog parks, kids large playgrounds and more. Upland has some of the best sports programs in the area, especially at Upland highschool. Upland’s Greenbelt park is home to an organization for softball called Upland Hilltoppers which is very popular, along with YMCA. Upland also houses the San Antonio Hospital which is one of the larger regional hospitals in the area. In short if you have never been to Upland then you should definitely owe yourself a visit. With amazing tree lined streets, rich history, picturesque views of the mountains, quaint downtown area that gives you that small down feel and a whole lot more, Upland is definitely a place you could call home!
